Core Reading Book List

Honors Reading

Students must read two books over the course of the summer. The first book on the list is required reading. Students may choose one additional book from the list to read before the start of the school year.

Students will be evaluated on this reading with an objective test the second day of school and a written assignment during the first two weeks of school.

The following books will be read by all students during the school year.

Honors students will read between two and four books from the following list during the school year. Students may choose to get a head start by beginning their reading over the course of the summer.
